“The New Way to Buy A Car Smell” is another marketing ploy to generate revenue and to increase customer bases by driving more purchases on Carvana.com. It is also used to create attention and awareness of our company brand and product. Carvana likes to differentiate itself from traditional dealerships. Something to note about new cars is that they come with a “New Car Smell.” The new car smell is actually very toxic and it contains fumes from the glue, paint and plastics inside new cars — more reasons to buy a used car on Carvana.com.

Videos and digital touchpoints were created for this campaign. The site was designed by an art director and because we were limited on engineering resources at the time, I stepped outside of my role to create a digital touchpoint out of html, css, and javascript.
